About the Author

Wasyl Nimenko was born in Ipswich, England. His mother was a devout Catholic from the O’Dowd Clan in the west of Ireland and his father was a staunch Atheist from Dnipropetrovsk in eastern Ukraine. Wasyl studied medicine in London then psychotherapy with Anthony Storr and Ian Gordon-Brown. From 1982-1991 he worked with survivors of torture. He has worked independently, in the NHS and with the homeless.

Although Wasyl brings his experience from working in medicine and transpersonal psychology, the path he has taken and his writing are based on eastern spiritual disciplines and so the theme of his writing focuses on inner happiness. He began meditation in 1972 and is a frequent visitor to India.
