It’s a privilege to live side-by-side with the humans on Arise Colony, but there’s one human Daxus wants to get to know better: Nataly. With the colony running efficiently, Nataly seems to have gone into hiding.

After he finds her huddled not far from her domicile, incoherent and sobbing, he realizes she isn’t doing as well as she keeps claiming. Although she tries to talk him into going away, he won’t be dissuaded.

Nataly is a human in need, and he’s the Talin to help her.

Nataly is safe. She’s living on Arise Colony with all her friends and family. There’s plenty of food, shelter, and even time to have some fun! None of them need to worry about being attacked because the powerful Talins who own the colony will do everything to keep them secure.

She should be happy and content, but she isn’t. Every day is a struggle.

Leaving her small domicile is terrifying, even walking the short distance to the communal building for a meal. The last time she tried, she panicked and had to crawl back inside her home. She spent the night curled up in the hiding spot she’s created in a storage cupboard.

She can’t live this way. She should ask for help, but she’s been the strong one for so long that she can’t bring herself to talk about it.

There's one other issue she's not telling anyone. She's having vivid dreams and doesn't know if they're part of her anxiety or one of the rare times she knows things.

It's all too much, so when Daxus gently forces himself into her life, she's ready to try just about anything.
