This is the third story in the Dark Savior Series.
In the second story, Seven Seals, Aldous the Wizard intercepted a letter
written by Drake Danvers, Village Elder of Faiwell and mastermind of the
Mt. Couture disaster a year prior.
The letter detailed how Drake and the mysterious Dark Wizard were
building a team to destroy more monoliths of the Dark Savior: The Famine
seal, located in Thironas, Mithika; and the Degenerate seal, found in the
sewers of Endoshire, Sigraveld. Aldous, on probation for his failures a year
prior, chose to forego the Wizard Council’s restrictions and tasked his mute
cohort Joel with gathering their friends to counter Drake’s team.
Upon visiting renowned warrior Dalton Rayleigh and his student Lucia
De Vesci at their home, Joel found out that Conrad Mercer had departed
Faiwell, only leaving Lucia a letter that he requested not be opened unless
he’d been gone for three months or more.
