You may often feel disappointed when looking at your images after the trip because, beautiful as they may be, you don’t find that they ad- equately convey what the experience was truly like. This book will help you start—or maybe just give you a good shove—on the path toward better, and more personal, photographs in the outdoors.
One important note: I will focus on what makes mountain photography different from everyday ur- ban photography, and I will assume that you have already mastered the basics of photography. If you don’t already know about shutter speed, focal length, aperture, ISO, RAW format, etc., then you will prob- ably find much of this book confusing.
