This volume first appeared titled as Cheyenne Grammar Notes . in a limited
printing done by the Bilingual Materials Development Center 5 Crow Agency, Montana 59022 s under U.S. Office of Education Grant Number G007804598, 1979.
In 1980 it was slightly revised and re-titled as A Reference Grammar of the Cheyenne Language occurring as Volumes 1 and 2, in the Occasional Publications in Anthropology, Linguistics Series, n o . 5, published by the Museum of Anthropology, University of Northern Colorado Greeley, Colorado.
This museum program no longer exists , and so the volume is now being re-issued by the Cheyenne research program under which it was first developed.
Further revisions were made in 1991 and 2011.
