Broken into the four seasons , A Time to Knit offers a sweater plus a couple of accessories for each time of year. Each of the sweaters feature top-down construction and are sized from 32-58». The collection includes a short-sleeve yoked pullover, a lace-skirted cardigan, a double-yoked pullover and a cabled hooded coat. Accessories include three wraps/shawls, a fingerless and a full glove, a pair of socks and one of slippers, and a Christmas decoration.
There are lovely details on offer here, like the widened cable that runs down the coats sleeves to its belled cuffs and the beading that borders the lace on the long gloves. Where there are cables or lace, both written and charted directions are provided. Probably due to production costs, most items have only one main photo and one index photo. The photos are clear and useful, though I found myself wanting more views (Im the kind of gal who wants to see the wrong side of the lovely intarsia paisley wrap!).

About the Author
Ann Kingstone is a passionate handknit designer from Yorkshire, England. As well as her self-published work, she has undertaken commissions from a variety of publishers including Interweave Press, Soho Publishing, Lark Books, and Twist Collective. Though clearly influenced by European knitting traditions, especially Fair Isle, Scandinavian, and Bavarian styles, Anns innovative designs incorporate up-to-date knitting techniques and seamless constructions. She is especially known for having a feminine style, with an emphasis on flattering shapes and stunning detail. Anns history as a school and university teacher is evident in the clarity of her knitting instructions, which are written to suit both UK and US knitters.
