About the Author
Kerry Crofton is a health educator, concerned parent and member of the International EMF Alliance. She is Medical Commentator on electro-magnetic radiation (EMR) for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and Co-Founder and Director of Doctors For Safer Schools and Doctors For The Digital Age. Kerry holds a doctorate in psychology, and her forty years of professional work include: a clinical practice; a weekly newspaper column; developing and delivering wellness programs; co-producing a television program on heart health; and directing a biofeedback clinic and hospital-based cardiac programs. Her first book, The Healthy Type A (Macmillan 1998), was based on these educational programs which she taught through the American and Canadian Heart Foundations. Kerry worked in the aviation industry – with pilots and air traffic controllers – and served on a judicial board, the Canadian Aviation Tribunal, enforcing the national aeronautics act.
Currently, she leads an international coalition of aviation experts concerned about the health and safety issues with in-flight WiFi and onboard cell phone use. For the past several years, Kerry has focused on electro-pollution.
In researching this book, and working with prominent experts, she has become well versed in this issue. Her expertise lies in health education, coaching people and organizations in effective change, and defending the public’s right to know. Her clinical background is an asset: many people dealing with electro-sensitivity, as well as digital addiction, have benefitted from her work. Kerry has brought together the research and recommendations of many experts in this field and with their collaboration she has developed these Safer-Tech solutions – the basis of this resource guide.
