Translated from the French by Caroline-Meriem Khelifa. This work has taken Important Points and Objectives from The Minhaj Al-Qasidin of Ibn Al-Jawzi which in turn is a Summary of the 'Ihya Ulum Ad-Din', the Magnum Opus of Imam al-Ghazali.
Ibn Jawzi Says : "I Have relied only on Authentic and famous narrations, and I deleted from or added to the original book what seems necessary." The author has divided the book into four components: 1) Religious Practices 2) Uses 3) Causes of the sinking 4) Means of Salvation.
Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad aṭ-Ṭūsiyy al-Ġazzālīy (1058-1111 CE), known to his people as Imam al-Ghazali and to medeival Europeans as Algazelus, was a highly regarded philosopher-theologian and polymath. He is credited with having played a vital role in the revival of Islamic discourse among followers in its fifth century .
