While the information around the techniques in this book is great, it seems like it wasn't edited very well. Some of the instructions for things like tool commands in the book do not match the Photoshop CS3 tool commands. For example, in one part it says press "P" to bring up the paintbrush, but in CS3 "P" brings up the pentool. It might be a small deal to locate the paintbrush, but these sorts of things cause you to not maintain concentration on the techniques used in the book, and as a result you spend time focusing on the differences between CS2 and CS3, which is not supposed to be the purpose for this book. I'd give this five stars if it had been properly edited, but because of the issues involved, I'll give it 3 stars.
