104 reviews...There is a good plot, there is a mystery, and there are interesting characters. Erica Rodgers does a fine job setting the scene and tone of this book right from the beginning. You even want to know how Alexis and her friends would handle things. They have a great track record for finding the culprit and each person in the group has a skill set that they all rely on to help save the day. Even as an adult you can appreciate this book. I appreciate NetGalley for the opportunity to let me review this book. I give this book 9 out of 10. It was really good. I liked it a lot. I may even see what other books Erica Rodgers has written in order to read other Alexis books.

This book reminded me a lot of the Baby-sitters Club books I read as a kid, but they are more contemporary and even more wholesome than that series. These tween girls are active, interested, and engaged with the world around them, and they care about one another as well as making a difference in the grand scheme of things. Here and there, they reflect on God''s work in the world, and the ways He might be able to help them solve their case, but the story is by no means a litany of Bible verses, and these characters are not "goodie-goodies." Even children without a religious background could certainly relate to them, and Christian children, regardless of denomination, will likely be pleased to see girls like themselves who have religious convictions and act according to them.
Overall, I''m really impressed with this series, and I plan to read some of the others available from NetGalley

This is another good Camp Club Girls book. The story has multiple layers and never drags. The reader must stay on their toes if they want to figure out who is doing all the bad things to the reserve.
This is a fun book with great characters that are easy to care about. If you have liked the previous Camp Club Girls books, you will definitely like this one.
Good fun.

I love how positive and upbeat this book is, even as bad things are happening around South Lake Tahoe''s nature preserve. The mystery is interesting, the characters are appealing, and the thread of friendship is tightly woven. There are quite a few mentions of prayer and God, but not in an off-putting way. I will recommend this story to my twin nieces.

Alexis and the Lake Tahoe Tumult is definitely one of the best books in the entire Camp Club Girls Series. Although practically all of the Camp Club Girls books are amazing, this one was unusually exciting. It is packed with action as well as spiritual content. This book is definitely for animal lovers, since it focuses on an animal refuge located near Lake Tahoe. Some ruthless, cruel person or people is purposely harming the animals, and the animal refuge owners, Jake and Karen, are receiving threat letters from a person or people who, for some reason, dislike their business. This is what makes the book suspenseful, since the two young detectives do not discover who the person or people are until very close to the end. Although this is an amazing book there is one part that could have been better. During an action scene, they have a very narrow escape with a bear awoken from hibernation. Later on, Alexis is telling her father about their adventure, but fails to mention just how close she and Bailey had been when it happened. She should have told her father just how near they had been to the bear. Aside from this, Alexis and the Lake Tahoe Tumult deserves even more than a five star rating.

Book DescriptionIt’s spring break, and Bailey has joined Alexis and her family on a Lake Tahoe ski resort vacation. During their stay, Alexis decides to film a documentary at a nearby animal refuge. . .only to witness strange and sometimes dangerous incidents. Who allowed the animals to escape? And who would leave the barn door open, knowingly putting the injured animals at risk? Are these events the work of a wildlife animal hating group? Or could it be an individual with a selfish scheme in the works? The Camp Club Girls are on the case. . . Will they be able to stop the perpetrators before it’s too late?
