Description

Apocalypse Revealed is a book by Swedish Christian mystic Emanuel Swedenborg, first published in 1766. Reviewing what he saw as the inner spiritual sense of the book of Revelation, Swedenborg attempts a comprehensive spiritual interpretation of the symbolic meanings behind the text. This work came after he laid the foundation of his theology down in Arcana Coelestia in which he interpreted the Biblical passages of Genesis and Exodus. All in all, Swedenborg was convinced that the Bible describes a human's transformation from a materialistic to a spiritual being.

This book has 412,589 words, and was originally published in 1766. This translation by John Whitehead was first published in 1912.
