Urban regeneration, sustainability, governance and heritage are some of the issues addressed in this book, and it does so on the basis of three major projects carried out by the POLIS Research Centre: "Rethinking the river: social uses of the Besòs River" (1997-1999), "Cartographies of La Mina" (2001-2009) and "Baró de Viver" (2005-2012).
