Bangalore means different things to different people. Now 18 artists and writers have come together to present their kaleidoscopic versions of the city through 9 stories. This is a city where the sum is greater than the parts, this is a vision which melds past, present and future.

The contributors range from those born and brought up in the city as well as passing travellers; from those who lost their hearts there as well as those who found the city's secret heart. Bangalore: A Graphic Novel is part of Every City is a Story, a unique city-centric storytelling initiative.

Syenagiri’s latest venture is Bangalore: A Graphic Novel. A second under the ‘Every City is a Story’ initiative, the book has been put together by nineteen different artists penning their own version of the city in the backdrop of assorted stories. One of them, Jai Undurti, opens up on the inspiration behind the book.

Every City is a Story is a series of graphic novels by studio publishing house, Syenagiri which holds up a mystical magnifying glass to cities of India and shows it through different lenses. It started with the first one, Hyderabad: A Graphic Novel in 2014, and has come to Bangalore now.

In this slim 84-page book, they’ve put together about nine stories worked on by 18 Bangalore artists, including Zac ‘O Yeah, Prashant Miranda, George Supreeth, Sumit Moitra, Ramya Ramakrishnan, Harsho Mohan and other established and upcoming artists and writers.
