Peripheral muscle dysfunction (e.g. lower-limb weakness) is common in cystic fibrosis (CF) and associated with exercise intolerance (Gruet et al. 2017). On the other side, despite the lung disease history of CF, respiratory muscle strength seems preserved in these patients (Heinzmann-Filho et al. 2012). Much less is known about respiratory muscle endurance (RME) for which no standard evaluation exists. This bicentric study aims to determine whether RME is reduced in adults with CF.
