It is always interesting to see why people do what they do and //Building iPhone Apps// showed us why Jonathan Stark is irritated with the apparent need to use higher programming languages in order to program simplistic iPhone apps. After doing some exploring, he found that you could create apps with the same basic coding you would use for designing Web sites. The book itself is pretty good. There are plenty of coding examples, tips on how to do things better, and instructions on how to do some interesting things with some basic code. It is a neat little book on how to do things you wouldn't expect with some code that looks great but is usually disregarded because of its relative simplicity to learn. This is a great book for that programmer who is looking for something to do on the side, and doesn't mind learning a few new tricks. Reviewed by: Jamais Jochim
