This Book was written way back in 2002 and the examples were implemented on Weblogic 7.0.Weblogic server 7.0 does not exist today which means if you are trying to run the examples(on the latest WL server) in the book you will have to change the dependencies in the ANT(provided in the examples) according to the configurations of the current server you will be using. This would mean more Overhead and waste of time changing the ANT files and the configurations of the Server apart from learning the already huge topics of Web services. I wonder what the authors were doing all these days without updating the book. Definetly,NOT recommend this book for those new to Java and J2EE.
