Disability Theology From Asia A Resource Book For Theological And Religious Studies Anjeline Okala by Anjeline Okala, A. Wati Longchar (editors) instant download after payment.

''This book is a compilation of select papers presented in three PTCA-EDAN workshops in Taiwan, India and Myanmar. The book addresses various dimensions such as social, religious, cultural, historical, biblical, theological, pastoral and legal issues. It also attempts to uncover the interconnection between the disability and other marginal communities' exclusion and marginalizaation. We hope that this resource book will provoke the readers and usher new theological thinking, attitude and new vision for action towards building a just and inclusive church and society. Persons with disabilities are our brothers, sisters and our neighbors who have been with us all the time. Yet we have discriminated against them, isolated them and closed many doors to them preventing them from many opportunities for better lives only because they have had different physical conditions than ours. This is injustice and contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ. We owe them apologies. We need to recognize also that persons with disabilities are not just a gift for the family and society, they are also an opportunity to grow in love, mutual aid and unity as we are all called to be a gift to the other, to be Christ to our neighbours and to see Christ in our neighbors.
