Energy Culture Work Power And Waste In Russia And The Soviet Union Jillian Porter by Jillian Porter, Maya Vinokour, (eds.) 9783031143199, 3031143191 instant download after payment.

This volume grew out of a colloquium called “Energy Aesthetics: Force, Flow, & Entropy,” funded by the Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia at New York University. The editors express their appreciation to the Jordan Center & all participants of the colloquium, including those who did not submit work for inclusion in this collection: Anindita Banerjee, Anya Bernstein, Alec Brookes, Jane Costlow, Mieka Erley, Isabel Lane, & Anson Rabinbach.

Like so many others, we grieve the untimely passing of our brilliant colleague, Robert Bird (1969–2020), who revised an essay previously published in The Slavic Review for this volume. We are grateful to Christina Kiaer, Sasha Artamonova, Alla Roylance, & Molly Brunson for help & guidance as we sought illustrations for his essay.

While completing her portion of the work on this volume, Jillian Porter was supported by a George F. Kennan Membership at the Institute for Advanced Study & a Faculty Fellowship at the Center for Humanities & the Arts at CU Boulder.
