94 reviewsTHE THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE TWO EUROPES AND THEIR CULTURAL CONSEQUENCES
"God, The Foundation of the First Europe". Volume 1 of Dr. Farrell's magnum opus.
--------------------------------
From Dr. Farrell: "Over the course of a decade, many students and friends have encouraged me to compile my personal observations on the theological foundations of the Two Europes into some comprehensive and annotated arrangement, and “to get it all down on paper”.
This is my first, though no doubt, not my last, attempt to do so. Doubtless I have omitted many observations made during lectures, and glossed over others. Nevertheless, to all my students of the past ten years to whom I have had the privilege to profess Ancient and Medieval History, Patristics, and Philosophy these essays are warmly and gratefully dedicated."
--------------------------------
Collated from his course notes over a decade from the time when he was still an Orthodox Christian and before his apostasy to a form of Deist Perennialism (marked by e.g. the "Topological Metaphor" emphasised throughout his speculative alternative history books, 'Thrice Hermetica...' etc).

A Goodreads review:
An in depth treatment of early heresies - Gnosticism, Nestorianism, Monothelitism, monophysitism, etc., their philosophical foundations, and the Orthodox Church response to them. The author often points out how those ancient issues foreshadowed the dogmatic and ecclesiastical errors in the west, that will finally result with the great schism. The book starts pretty much from ground zero, but some familiarity with ancient philosophy or with theology is presupposed.
