Author: Milne
Milne's book, Group Theory, is used as a first-year graduate school textbook. It's practically accessible; anyone with an undergraduate level of algebra can generally understand most of the material. Milne, a devoted sectioner, also breaks down each major chapter into numerous smaller sections, explaining the basic concepts step by step. Each chapter ends with a few exercises, though the number is relatively small. After Chapter 4, these exercises essentially disappear (I suspect the author was being lazy). The exercises are generally easy to solve, and most can be solved with a little thought. For some more challenging problems, refer to the back of the book for answers.
