Hell Run Tobruk A Wwii Military Adventure During The North African Campaign Jack Pembroke Naval Thrillers Book 3 Justin Fox by Justin Fox B0DNGDHC1F instant download after payment.

The metallic clinking of a halyard against the mast woke Jack Pembroke from the terror-filled dream of a deck sinking beneath his feet and water pouring in. He rolled over in his cot and looked through the scuttle at a circle of stars bathing the Simonstown basin in gentle light. It was still the dead of the middle watch, but in a few short hours, HMSAS Southern Gannet would begin to stir and prepare herself for sea, for the longest voyage of her war.

Jack tossed and turned as if already fighting the coming pitch and roll rather than his own demons, but he could not find sleep again. He was filled with anxiety for what lay in store Up North, the irritations of the previous days’ preparations, the hundred-and-one loose ends that had needed attention. Now there was thankfully little more that could be done. Jack climbed carefully out of his cot without disturbing Fido, the female marmalade cat that acted as Gannet’s second captain, and got dressed in his summer whites. Sitting down at the desk, he switched on the lamp beside the silver-framed photograph of his late mother and once more ran an eye over the paperwork as dawn’s first blush filtered into his cabin.
