Makebelieve Play Among Amazigh Children Of The Moroccan Antiatlas Rossie by Rossie, Jean-pierre, Jariaa, Khalija, Daoumani, Boubaker & Fassoulas, Argyris instant download after payment.

The two volumes of this book
on Make-believe play among Amazigh children of the Moroccan Anti-Atlas offer
an insight into children’s play, toy making, and toy use during the end of the
20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries. They not only present a cultural
heritage but situate it in these children’s lives and the sociocultural context
of their families and neighborhoods.

After an introduction
describing the research areas shown on two maps, the large section of volume 1
analyses consecutively ‘Children’s dolls and doll play’, ‘The animal world in
play, games, and toys’, ‘Domestic life in play, games and toys’, and ‘Technical
activities in play, games and toys’. This way, referring to the books in the
collection Saharan and North African play and toy cultures published
on Academia.edu and Scribd between 2005 and 2013. Each section starts with an
overview of the information already published in the books of the collection.
All the available supplementary information follows each overview. My two local
research assistants, Boubaker Daoumani and specially Khalija Jariaa, collected
most of this information. Thanks to the online edition, it has been possible to
integrate into this book the wealth of color photographs that create a
testimony of the toys and the play activities engaged in by Amazigh girls and
boys.

The data on the play, toy making, and toy using activities are not
limited to traditional life. The reader will continuously be confronted with
the evolution of games and toys of village and town children, influenced by
television, the toy and entertainment industry, visiting tourists and byAnti-Atlas emigrants living in Europe
but returning to their families occasionally.

The developed Conclusion covers the following
themes: the physical environment of play and toys, the materiality of toys,
sociocultural aspects of play and toys, children’s creativity, play, toys,
communication and learning, continuity and evolution of play and toys, ethnographic
research on play and toys, and interdisciplinary research on play and toys.
