of battery packaging is proposed to accomplish this multifunctional objective using microvascular fiberreinforced

composites. Batteries are sandwiched between carbon fiber/epoxy panels containing

embedded microchannels. Coolant flow enables active cooling while the composite material provides

strength, stiffness, and crashworthiness at low weight.
