Somebody would see it this way:day by day report of the war. I was most interested in Natasha, which the description of the book lead me to believe and why I bought it. I skipped a lot of the extreme details of the war. I gave it three stars because it was written well, but thought it dragged on too much and was misleading since it went into such detail about the war. It could have been two books! I really just wanted to know about the little girl. Too much writing about the war there and I wanted to know more about life back in England
