This book is the third revised and updated edition on the oil, gas and gas-condensate fields of Kazakhstan. Brief information regarding the division of Kazakhstan into oil and gas zones is presented and 202 hydrocarbon fields described according to oil and gas provinces and oblasts. The information given for every field covers its location, the date of discovery, and the stratigraphic confinement of reservoirs: structural maps and geologic sections are shown; different types of accumulations and their location, as well as fluid (oil, gas, condensate. bed waters) properties and composition, are described: the characteristics of host rocks and their filtration volume properties are given; formation pressure and temperature are indicated. All the information presented will enable to get an idea of how diversified the geological setting and structure of the hydrocarbon fields in Kazakhstan are, as well as giving a lot of help when forecasting the oil and gas potentials of territories that are still underexplored.
