The Mission Siptah - Ramses X. (MISR) project of the Institute of Egyptology at the University of Basel deals with three tombs and their surroundings in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor in Egypt. Located to the west of the city of Luxor, ancient Thebes, sheltered by Mount el-Qurn, the Valley of the Kings served as a burial place for the pharaohs of the New Kingdom and some members of the elite. Most of these rock tombs have not been documented to this day - or only inadequately according to modern scientific standards. The aims of the project are the complete excavation and investigation of the graves and their surroundings, the scientific description and interpretation of the findings and the graphic and photographic documentation. This monograph presents a selected collection of pottery sherds from Seti I, KV 17 and Siptah, KV 47.
