Radioactive sealed sources e.g. I-125, Ir-192 and Pd-103 as miniature sources are required for the treatment of many tumors and for industrial uses . Miniaturization and high specific activity are the main parameters of modern sealed sources for most applications. This publication provides the methodology and technology of preparation of miniature sealed sources based on these radioisotopes for medical applications, as well as for industrial quality control. Radioactive sealed sources are largely applied in industry for radiation processing, non-destructive testing (NDT), online process control and analysis.
