Queer Singapore Illiberal Citizenship And Mediated Cultures Audrey Yue by Audrey Yue, Jun Zubillaga-pow, (editors) 9789888139347, 9888139347 instant download after payment.

The genesis of this collection began in 2009 during Singapore’s annual pride season, IndigNation, when Audrey Yue and Jun Zubillaga-Pow met and talked about the possibility of putting together a book that captures the new energies and voices that are emerging in the nation-state. In 2010 Audrey and Jun, together with the contributors whom we have invited, coaxed and almost harassed (!) to write an essay for this collection, came together for a seminar to further workshop the proposed topics and conceptual frames. This book reflects the combined voices of these scholars and activists, including many others whose voices have been folded seamlessly into these pages. They continue to play key roles together in the fight for recognition of LGBT rights in Singapore.
