It also traces what we know of the personal life of Ramesses, most of which concerns his principle wife Nefertari and his many children.
This book is written for those who have not made extensive studies of the history of Ancient Egypt or of Ramesses the Great specifically. The information is presented in a manner that is accessible to anyone with at least a general knowledge of ancient Egypt. It is also written with a mind toward conveying the impact that the reign and actions of Ramesses II had on ancient Egyptian history in general to help the reader understand the importance and influence of this time period.
