This textbook is inter-specialty with contributions from
three specialties: plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, and
oral maxillofacial surgery. Each of the specialties brings a

a description of the background and problem. The surgical
techniques are presented through concise steps, augmented

also have a section providing alternative approaches with
respective advantages and disadvantages. The chapter layout

a quick and concise manner while also serving as a quick
reference to revisit as needed.
The purpose of the book is to provide surgeons a collection
of unique and concise examples of patients that they
may be confronted with in their practice. It also highlights
philosophies and approaches from the three different specialties
worldwide. Rhinoplasty is not a surgery performed by
just one specialty or restricted to only a certain area. Hence,
it requires collaboration among specialties to develop and
expand the scope of the specialty of Rhinoplasty. A unique
feature of this textbook is the breakdown of ethnicity, race,
and cultural parameters, providing an understanding that
our specialty is not limited to the original archetypes.
