Spanish Education In Morocco 19121956 Cultural Interactions In A Colonial Context Irene Gonzlez Gonzlez by Irene González González 9781845196875, 1845196872 instant download after payment.

Research into the European colonization of north Africa in the twentieth

century has tended to focus on countries other than Morocco, such as

Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. The work carried out on

Morocco has in any case paid far more attention to the French

Protectorate than to the Spanish one. Over the last two decades, however,

research on the Spanish colony has advanced a good deal, but little of this

has appeared in English. The theme of this book, Spain’s educational

policy in Morocco, has been addressed in English in just a single article

from 2001. Accordingly, Irene González González’s monograph fills a

cavernous gap by offering the first research-based account in English of

the educational system under the Spanish Protectorate of 1912 to 1956.
