A word of caution: that you might find minor spoilers. The 3 mistakes of my life gives a nice perspective of life in Gujarat. The characters are three ordinary men who start a business venture and strive to make it big. They are the owners of a sports goods store. They have their own fears and philosophies in life. Omi fears he will end up being the priest of the temple. Ish fears he will never be able to live his dreams of being a cricketer through Ali. Vidya fears she will end up as one of those doctors who didn't want to be a doctor. Govind appears focused and ambitious though. The events happen amidst the Bhuj earthquake and the Godhra riots. Chetan Bhagat's stories always involve a lot of drama at the end, and this one was no different. A fight scene at the end lasts for pages. Perhaps it is his style of writing. However this book lacks a background/characters from IITs and IIMs. Overall, it is nothing great, but definitely worth a read.
