Welcome to The 5th AOTULE International Postgraduate Students Conference on Engineering which will be held from 1‐2 November 2010 at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia. This international conference is sponsored by The Asia‐Oceania Top University League on Engineering (AOTULE) and organized by Bandung Institute of Technology. AOTULE is a network of leading technological universities in the Asia‐Oceania region founded in 2007 to improve the quality of education and research of member universities. Future activities/goals of AOTULE include making the Asia‐Oceania Inter‐university education system on engineering among member universities and developing R&D programs. The purpose of this postgraduate students conference is to provide an international forum for discussion and exchange of the latest advances in science and technology on engineering among postgraduate students from AOTULE members. The 1st AOTULE conference was held in2007 at Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan), the 2nd meeting was held in 2007 at KAIST (Korea), the 3rd was held in 2008 at Univ. Auckland (New Zealand), and the 4th was held in 2009 at National Taiwan Univ (Taiwan). Many papers have been submitted and 75 papers from 6 countries will be presented in 19 Sessions including 1 Plenary Session. Invited Lectures will be given by Prof. Dr. Bambang Riyanto from School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics and Prof. Dr. Sri Widiyantoro from Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia.
