The distinguishing features of the Conservative Party after a decade in office are: the deification of Winston Churchill; relentless agitation for a distracting culture war; and the corruption of our national institutions and resources for private gain. The main tool for delivering this has been chaos, behind which their malefaction has run riot. And it will continue to be like this until enough of us demand better.
If I believed in God, I’d pray for an end to this. But God isn’t listening, and not enough of the public are either. Until one or the other wakes up, a perpetual vortex of agitation is where we are all doomed to live.
