Although erudite at most times, the author has the disturbing habit of getting into very personal insights, which may or may not coincide with the reader. A case in point, he spends almost a full page ranting about the now defunct soviet system of psychiatic treatment, something odd and misplaced in this book. Anyway the author is a psychologist,not a psychiatrist, and it shows.
