somewhat confusing since the author gives equal weight to old, not very often used words and more comtemporay terms. Although erudite at most times, the author has the disturbing habit of getting into very personal insights, which may or may not coincide with the reader. A case in point, he spends almost a full page ranting about the now defunct soviet system of psychiatic treatment, something odd and misplaced in this book. Anyway the author is a psychologist, not a psychiatrist, and it shows.
