He has taught military history, Canadian history, and Canadian studies at universities in Alberta, Canada. He is the co-author of Fighting with the Empire: Canada, Britain, and Global Conflict, 1867–1947.
Frank W. Stahnisch is a Professor with joint appointment in the Department of Community Health Sciences and the Department of History at the University of Calgary, Canada. He also holds the AMF/Hannah Professorship in the History of Medicine and Health Care in the Cumming School of Medicine.
