The Kills Sutler The Massive The Kill And The Hit Richard House by Richard House 9781250052438, 1250052432, B00E0NEB3U instant download after payment.

Richard House’s epic novel of crime and conspiracy is a hugely ambitious cross-continental saga told in four volumes.

Camp Liberty is an unmanned staging post in Amrah province, Iraq; a place where the detritus of war is buried, incinerated, and removed from memory. Suddenly, plans are announced to transform it into the largest military base in the country, codenamed the Massive. But before this happens, Camp Liberty is hit by an explosive attack. After the dust settles and the survivors are counted it emerges that just one man is missing. Along with $50 million of reconstruction funds...

"Richard House has written a gripping, hallucinogenic -- and enormous -- novel that deals with the aftermath of the Iraq conflict. (...) House has a great ability to create vivid characters, and the novel teems with them. But the writing in this third book is too abundant -- there is simply too much story."  -  Kate Pullinger, The Guardian

Richard House is a visual artist as well as writer and when The Kills was published digitally, it was accompanied by related short films and audio projects of his own devising. He graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago and then the University of East Anglia with a PhD in creative writing and has remained in academia, teaching at the University of Birmingham.
