I also see that Parker is standing right in the middle of it.

The man I followed here is surrounded by gleaming countertops,

shiny pots and pans hanging from sharp hooks and almost enough

appliances to fill an aisle in a department store. I watch as he moves

past the coffee machine on his way to the microwave, where he

opens the door and takes out a steaming packet of rice. I see him tip

the rice onto a plate before he opens a tin of tomatoes and puts a

few of them on top. It looks like a very basic meal, surely one very

undeserving of a kitchen like this one, but maybe Parker is just tired

and cannot be bothered to cook. Or maybe his personal chef went

home hours ago, because if he lives here he can certainly afford

one. But perhaps there’s another reason for the very meagre meal

that has just been prepared.

Perhaps it’s not for Parker at all.
