The reissue of Duval’s edition of Bar Bahlul’s lexicon is part of a larger project that aims at producing resources for the study of Syriac, Aramaic and Arabic lexical and toponymical data of Beth Qaṭraye based on historical, archaeological and lexicographical evidence. The project provides an XML tagged version of the Bar Bahlul corpus. This release differs from earlier reprints in that Duval's rich introductory material is translated into English by Samuel Barry, the Dr. Khalid and Mrs. Amira Dinno Fellow in Digital Humanities at Beth Mardutho for 2018.
