institutions.
EPSO competitions (often called by their French name, concours) are divided into two main
types: those for Administrator (AD) level positions and those for Assistants (AST), with a sub-category being Secretaries (AST-SC).

the final stage the assessment of a candidate’s “competencies” at the Assessment Centre.
The reasoning tests, which for the majority of candidates constitute the first phase of the exams,

what the various types of test involve, the skills needed to tackle them, and the errors to avoid –
and in each case this methodology is followed by extensive practice questions with detailed
explanations of the answers. All the questions have been specifically designed to mirror
Assistant-level competitions.
