Для каждой отобранной модели приведены фотография и цветной рисунок, на котором наглядно показаны причины неудачи конструкции. Также даются краткая история создания и приводятся основные технические характеристики 150 летательных аппаратов, среди которых есть и отечественные разработки, в частности, Ан KT "Летающий танк", К-7, Ант-20 "Максим Горький", ЛаГГ-1, Ла-250, Ту-22, Ту-144, Як-38. Однако больше всего неудач автор издания нашёл у американских авиаконструкторов.
Книга - на английском языке, но большую её часть занимают очень наглядные иллюстрации и статистические данные.
