worm disease, sleeping sickness, river blindness, malaria, chagas
disease, kala azar, tropical disease vectors, and essential and
inessential medicines, as well as new chapters on related questions.
Each forms an independent chapter introduced by two articles, one by an
academic researcher and the other by a WHO official. The articles are
complemented with feature photographs selected from several repositories
and highlighting important episodes in the story of these dangerous

English and Portuguese side by side.
