Recent years have seen a resurgence of the biblical epic film (Noah, Gods and Kings). Biblical film criticism has grown along with this new spate of films. This Companion surveys the field of biblical film criticism, conceiving of and framing the field in light of recent biblical films and the voices of key biblical film critics.
