The ‘State of the Education Report for India 2020: Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ’ was launched virtually by UNESCO New Delhi on 8 December 2020, with over 300 attendees, including representatives from the government, civil society, academia, partners and youth.

Published annually, the 2020 report is the second edition published by UNESCO New Delhi and highlights the progress and achievements, while capturing the intense activity around TVET provision that is currently ongoing, and on outlining the directions for future growth.

Having been prepared during the pandemic, the report is based on material gathered mainly from interviews with government functionaries and specialists in the field, and the materials provided by them, backed up with extensive desk research of national and international literature and the websites of key stakeholders.

We hope the Report will serve as a reference tool for enhancing and influencing the policies and programs under Technical and Vocational Education and Training.  Read the Press Release.
