Sarah thought of the gorgeous pool downstairs. Last night, she’d enjoyed her swim even if she’d also felt it would be wiser to stick to her room. Because of Maddox. Because sometimes, a woman was better off to steer clear of potential trouble, no matter how green his eyes might be or how charming his smile.
But seriously. She would be working here five days a week for several weeks, anyway. Treating herself to the pool now and then was just good sense. Swimming was a great form of therapy—stress relieving and also good exercise. And Maddox lived here, after all. She couldn’t just turn tail and run every time she caught sight of him. Plus, he’d made it very clear that she was welcome to use the pool any time the mood struck.
Sarah picked up the remote and turned off the flat screen on the wall across the room. Because the mood? It had definitely struck.
She grabbed her suit, cover-up and monitor, and headed for the pool.
